About
In the heart of Colombia, a quiet revolution is bubbling to the surface. Once cast into shadows by rigid regulations, cultural elitism, and the relentless march of industrialization, ancestral elixirs like chicha refused to be forgotten.
Now, a new generation is reclaiming them, their palates eager for something rich with history and rebellion. Producers are fighting for their rightful place, and the tides are turning.
And we? We are bringing this renaissance beyond borders, sharing them with a global audience, sharing them with you!
Our name pays tribute to the Magdalena River—a lifeline that runs through Colombia, weaving north and south together and connecting the empires of the north - the Aztecs with those in the south, the Incas. Along its waters, cultures met, knowledge flowed, and flavors took root. Many of Colombia’s most ancestral beverages were born in its basin. The grand river of Magdalen is a symbol of our liquid universe
